Meet Veronica
I'm Veronica Elias, a proud PUSD parent and a lifelong educator with more than 25 years of experience serving students across Los Angeles County as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of working alongside dedicated educators, supporting families, leading school improvement efforts, and helping students succeed. I'm running for the Pasadena Unified School District Board because I believe our community deserves experienced, transparent leadership focused on building stronger schools together.
As a principal, I made difficult decisions, balanced budgets, supported teachers, improved student outcomes, and always put students first. I understand how every board decision directly affects classrooms, families, and our district's future.​

PUSD faces significant financial challenges, declining enrollment, and persistent absenteeism.
Our community deserves leadership that is honest, transparent, and focused on long-term solutions.
I will advocate for an independent review of district administrative spending before additional classroom cuts are considered, support meaningful strategies to improve enrollment and attendance, and insist on transparent, accountable governance that earns our community's trust.
